AeroFennec contacted me asking if he were to come down if I'd show him around Dever. I told him yeah, no problem. Once I found out he was traveling all the way from Long Island, I felt bad about just bringing him to Dever and asked if he'd be interested in CandyCorn as well. He was, so we started off the day making the usual climb inside of one of my favorite hospitals. He seemed to have a blast and so did Sace and I. Previously, we'd never been able to find the morgue, but Aero was smart enough to think about looking at a set of blueprints. We located the morgue on the blueprints conveniently laying around and within two minutes were standing inside what we had previously thought to be nothing more than a refrigerator. Nothing more than a stretcher inside, and no autopsy room, but we found it none the less. After a few hours, we decided to head to Dever before the sun went down. At the days end, he invited Abandoned Dreams to head up his way and he would take us to his favorite local spot. We agreed and he headed off into the distance. AeroFennec is a wicked good dude and Abandoned Dreams will explore with him anytime we have the chance.

Taunton State Hospital Drive Through W/ Aero and Sace

Dever With AeroFennec, Saceist, and Tighty69

These are my shots from when AeroFennec came down to MA to see Dever. Also along for the trip was Saceist and Tighty69. We signed in, claiming to just walk around the outside and started in the hospital building and then worked our way over to the Recreation Center. After a while photographing the Rec building, Saceist noticed a security guard sitting outside on his radio informing his supervisor that he "couldn't find us anywhere". We waited until he pulled away and headed back outside. We had almost made it back to where we parked the cars, when two guards pulled up to us. They told us they'd been looking for us for over an hour. The female guard then looked at me and Sace and told us she was really getting sick of looking for us when we signed in and knew we were inside the buildings. We tried to tell her we weren't, but she wasn't buying it. The male guard did though. She told us we were no longer allowed to sign in and walk the grounds because she didn't trust us. She pulled away and the male security guard shook all of our hands and apologized for her rudeness, but agreed with her about the two of us signing in. Sooo, Now we are no longer allowed to sign in. Oh Noes! We have to break in like we did for months before ever even trying to sign in. What ever will we do. Hahahaha! EPIC FAIL on the security. You'll NEVER get rid of us.

These pics are from a trip to CandyCorn with Saceist and Tighty69. Nothing too special. During this visit, I managed to gash the shit out of my hand while sticking it through a broken window to push the bar of a security door to gain access to the second floor. I made it a point to splash my blood all over the second floor just to give something back to the hospital that provided us with a good time.

The Lift Bridge

DashingFlamingos, Saceist, and I found this very much active train bridge in the cape one day. Being the rebel I am, I heeded all the Gov't no trespassing signs, and decided to climb it. I got a ways up before being spotted by the operator while on top of his post. Good times reguardless and the guy didnt call the cops ir anything, just asked us nicely to leave.

Sleepy Hollow Cemetery

Went up to NY for the day with my aunt and DashingFlamingos and decided to visit Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Its big and beautiful and the final resting place to Washington Irving and William Rockefeller.

Dever Buildings I Hadn't Seen

Sace and I decided to head to Dever for the billionth time this year to try a few more buildings we hadn't seen. We started in the PineView building.

This was the Tapella building.

We then stopped in the hospital building because Sace had never seen a morgue before. I really wanted to find the solarium once again, As I Heart Dale and myself had on a previous trip, but failed miserably at doing so and gave up.

This was the last building of the day. Pretty cool. Ended up finding the old X-Ray room, along with some old X-Rays and patient pictures/files. Good stuff.

Dever W/ DF, Matt and Keith Fallout, and Saceist

Went to Dever with DashingFlamingos, Matt Fallout, Keith Fallout, and Saceist the other day on a whim. The weather was shitty and we barely bothered to take any pictures. There were a few times when Keith insisted he heard something from downstairs in one of the dorm buildings, and on our way out security saw Matt and myself, so we had the others wait in a bush, got securities attention once again, and when we knew he saw us, we bolted in hopes he's stray from the rest of the group. We waited where the brush was overgrown and eventually saw the silhouettes of the rest of the group walking towards us. No one was caught. We kick ass like that.

Fort Tabor

We arrived at Fort Tabor under the assumption the fort itself would be open. It wasn't, so I Heart Dale and myself decided to take a quick stroll through the tunnels. We got to the tunnels, only to see this fucking idiot attempting to impress his friends by saying he was going to jump from the top of the entrance, easily a 25 foot drop. We entered the tunnels and a bit later exited to the same retard on top still claiming he would jump. We sat around and waited for it, hoping to see him hurt himself and learn his lesson with jumping off bunkers. I managed to start filming right before he let go. He made it without hurting himself and even did a little tumblesault in victory.

Mamacitas

This is a building I Heart Dale and myself had noticed in the past, but never paid any attention to. That is, until we drove by and saw the building half demolished. It was then or never. We found a parking spot, and made our way into the security fence and into the building. This place smelled like piss so bad. Apparently it was a petstore by the name of Finicky's and a corporate office for the Delkin DryCleaners company. The building kind of sucked and wasnt very photogenic, but it was still a good time with good company. To see I Heart Dales shots visit
The Annex

This part of the building was used as a Delkin DryCleaners head office. Tons of shit was piled in one room and the keys to the business were laying in an unlocked safe in another. If they weren't demoing the building, I'd be the new owner.

An Alarming Amount Of Laundry

I Heart Dale showed me a factory she had known about that was at least half abandoned and full of rooftop fun. Surely enough, both were true. We were having as blast until we walked into a very much cleaner section of the factory. As soon as we knew what we'd done, an alarm began to blare and the race was on. We made it out under a different section of fence from which we'd entered and snaked our way back through the thinning layers of brush alongside the factory. Good times.

As we entered this section, before our minds could adjust to the change, all hell broke loose. This is the one shot either of us managed to get before running like criminals.

Explore Everything Christian PT. 5

From what I've gathered, after this Christina Camp closed its doors, it was taken over as a youth detention center. Thats about all I know, but it was at one point a Christian Camp, thus completing our Explore Everything day perfectly. We explored 5 out of 9 buildings this night, before triggering an alarm and booking it out. We returned the next day and conquered another two before the same thing. Needless to say, I dont see a third trip in the near future.

We traveled a bit further down the street in search of yet another abandoned church pointed out to me by Brooks. We found it, but the entrance was blocked off tight. We found a way in through another entrance and this place was fucking awesome. Both Saceist and my first reaction was Holy Shit. The yellow glow is this place was sick. Thanks Brooks.

Explore Everything Christian PT. 3

We drove by this sick looking active church, so I told Sace to pull over so I could get some exteriors. Next thing you know, we're talking to the lady in charge and she's leading us inside to photograph the interior as well. She left us alone for close to 45 minutes, before telling us she had to go to an appointment and we'd have to leave. She invited us back in the future and we parted ways. Nuns are pretty fucking nice to little bastards with cameras.

We started off our day, now called Explore Everything Christian, at the first church I ever explored. Saint Sacrelige. This place is slowly being rebuilt into a museum of some sort, so I fear it wont be accessable much longer. Not that I havent seen all it has to offer anyway. Just going to be sad to see it go.

A Night In Providence

We started off the night with three of us. Saceist, DashingFlamingos, and myself. We were going to climb to the top of this new construction highrise and photograph the ongoing WaterFire ceremonies being held right next door. We arrived to a fenced off jobsite with a 24 hour security guard posted at the entrance. We found a second way in and headed up a few flights of back stairs. After 3 flights, the stairs stopped, but there was one more landing above. We found our way up and started our ascent to the top of the rickety scaffolding stairwell. We made it 11 stories up, before a flashlight was shining in my face from the floor above and a deep voice was asking us what the fuck we were doing there. We told him, and he led us back down, more amazed that we'd gotten that far past the first guard than anything else. He told us to come back another night, and has since blown us off in all further attempts to get back. Hell, the last picture of the first set was taken by the security guard who caught us. Good times.

We checked out the Train Bridge. Very peaceful at night.

We picked up DashingFlamingos friend Jessbats after that. Nobody in the group, aside from myself, had ever seen a train fly by overhead before, so we strolled over to the TapeArt Tunnel. Now they have.

We got so bored we even dropped by the mausoleum to hang and check out the skyline.

The last view on our way out of Providence was our original destination, now lit up due to three little bastard kids who tried to sneak their way to the top.

The Coolest, Most Super Secret Location Ever!!!

Paulies Mill Power Plant

This power plant found by I Heart Dale and Will I. Am, closed semi-recently and still has power surging through its lights 24 hours a day. We only spent like 15 minutes in there before deciding to leave, getting the feeling workers were going to walk through the doors at any minute, though we knew the plant had ceased operations. The Allergens Hideout

I've been here a few times now, but Matt Fallout hadn't and wanted to see it. No problem I figure. Once we arrived, I remembered why I stopped visiting in summer. So there I am, Allergic to pollen, walking around greenhouses full of it. Good times aside from the fact that half my shots were ruined due to sneezing. Oh well.

Fernald Fun

Next we headed to the Redemption Center. The power was on in this building and the generators were giving off a loud eerie buzz. Quite creepy indeed to walk around in a electrically lit hallway on a semi-active campus. In our defense though, it wasn't us. Must have been some other PunkUE and I Heart Dale. Expect more Fernald Fun in the near future.

Active Antiques Rooftop

Next to The Danny Ponts mill sits a 5 story mill turned Antiques store. I Heart Dale and myself decided to scale the building and watch the sunset from the roof. At the end of the post is another sloppy video. Expect them every now and then.

The "Haunted" House

I don't remember the name of who told I Heart Dale about this place, but apparently it was known as a haunted house. We had nothing to do one day and decided to check it out for shits and giggles. We found our entrance way too easily and found the only thing to be haunting this house was thousands of wasps who had taken up residence here. The place was empty and we didnt feel like getting stung. Thats all, just another little farmhouse.

The Hospital At Dever

This trip to Dever I Heart Dale and myself vowed to look at nothing else but the hospital. No exceptions. We started into the tunnels at our usual entrance and after 15 minutes or so, we arrived where the sections that once led to the hospital were bricked off. We headed upstairs and outside. We got to the hospital building and made our entrance. This place was actually pretty lame with the exceptions of the morgue, in which the light sucked due to stormy weather, The operating room, and The solarium. Used a bunch of flash, cause i was too lazy to pull out the tripod for some place that was hardly interesting. And at the end of the post is another sloppy video. Thats how I roll. Anyone who's followed Abandoned Dreams over the past few years might remember an incident I went through where my Kodak Z710 was taken as "Evidence". Well, after a little over a year, It's finally once again in my hands where it belongs. Expect to see some shitty pics for a while I relearn how to use it, but once I remember expect some sick shit. Still no DSLR, but one of the more complicated and manual optioned PnS's I've ever worked with. Just thought I'd share.
